I am an active member of the Holstein community. I manage the Holstein State Theatre and I have for almost two years now, but prior to that I was a volunteer for 5 or 6 years. I also coach the Ridge View Esports team, so I know how important it is that we teach our students how to prepare for the world after school. I started this campaign, because I want our state legislature to work FOR the people. Living on a farm has shown me that politicians ignore us until we get loud and have our voices heard. There's no louder way to be heard than by running for public office. I am community driven and ready to see what I can do!
  • Rural communities deserve the same affordability and opportunity as the rest of the state. I’m fighting for lower costs, fair wages, and real support for working families so northwest Iowa can continue to grow, not just get by. My whole life we have just got by, with growth stagnating. It's time for some real change in the Iowa State Legislature.
  • Rural communities deserve the same healthcare access and dignity as the rest of Iowa. Right now, too many families are driving long distances for basic appointments, waiting months for specialists, or skipping care altogether because the cost is simply too much. That’s not sustainable, and it’s not how you keep a community healthy.

I’m fighting to strengthen local clinics, support our healthcare workers, expand mental health services, and make sure prescriptions don’t break the bank. Our rural hospitals do everything they can with what little they’re given, but they’ve been overlooked for far too long.

My whole life, we’ve watched access shrink and people fall through the cracks. It shouldn’t be this hard to get help when you’re hurting.
  • Rural Iowans deserve honesty and accountability from the people who represent them. Too often, decisions are made behind closed doors, policies get pushed through without real explanation, and everyday families are left wondering who their government is actually working for. That’s not how public service should operate, and it’s not how trust is built. I’m fighting for clear communication, open decision-making, and straightforward answers, not political games. People should know where their money is going, why decisions are being made, and how those choices affect their communities. If I wouldn’t say it out loud to my neighbors in Holstein, I won’t do it in Des Moines.
I’m passionate about policy that actually helps rural communities. For me, that means keeping life affordable, fixing rural healthcare, and making government honest with the people it serves. These are the issues that shape everyday life in northwest Iowa, and they’re the areas where we’ve been ignored for years.

I care about policy that lifts up working families, supports local workers and hospitals, and gives people straight answers instead of political spin. That’s what will help our towns grow again, and that’s why I’m running.
I actually was born into my first job, because my family owns a petting zoo. Ever since I was a kid I have helped out with petting zoos and I have had so much fun doing it! I actually still have this job and it doesn't interfere with my other jobs thankfully, so I can still help my parents out when they need it.

I have learned so much from the petting zoo! From communication skills to educating people on the things that they thought they knew but didn't. My favorite story is convincing a man in Sioux City that we had a gazelle when it was in actuality a goat. The man in the end had no clue what animal it was and just believed that it was a gazelle. I had to set him right before he left, so he wouldn't be confused. It still makes me laugh to this day.
One of Iowa’s biggest challenges is rebuilding our economy after years of slow growth. WalletHub’s 2025 report ranked our state last in the nation for overall economic strength, and recent data shows Iowa actually lost more than 2,000 jobs over the last year. Our GDP even dropped in early 2025, one of the worst declines in the country.

Over the next decade, we need to focus on real economic growth, better wages, and stronger support for rural communities. Iowa can do better, but only if we start taking these numbers seriously. And I know Iowa can do much better!
I think experience can help, but it’s not the only thing that matters. Iowa needs people who understand real life, not just politics. I come from a working background, not a political one, and I see that as a strength. I know what families here deal with and what our rural communities are up against.

Good legislators listen, learn, and stay connected to the people they represent. You don’t need years in politics to do that. You just need to care enough to show up and fight for the people back at home.
