Campaign website
Marckmann's campaign website stated the following:
BRANDEE'S PLATFORM
STOP SCHOOL CLOSURES
Protect our families, neighborhoods, and small businesses by demanding a moratorium on school closures. I have zero tolerance for school closures.
PAY TEACHERS ON TIME!
It is unacceptable that for years, our educators have not been paid properly. There needs to be an audit to determine why, for over two years, this took place. Parties that were harmed need to be compensated accordingly.
KEEP CLASS SIZES SMALL
Closing and merging schools results in overcrowded classrooms. Class size reduction leads to higher teacher retention and a more positive, joyful classroom environment where students can thrive.
