Raised by a single mother in a working-class family, I lived many of the struggles faced by central Ohio families. A public school graduate and product of social programs, I have made it my mission to give back to the community that raised me, because residents deserve every opportunity for good, high-paying jobs to put food on the table.

I bring a unique blend of military service, community engagement, and legislative expertise. I stand ready to be the unwavering voice our community needs in the Statehouse.

As someone raised on Columbus’ West Side, this community has not only been my home, but my family’s. From fighting for change as a Highland West Civic Association board member to organizing communities for the 2020 Census, the west side is where my roots are.

My life has been dedicated to public service. As an Officer in the Army Reserve, I have sacrificed to proudly serve my nation.

I used my background and undergraduate degree in Social Work to bring vital community resources to central Ohio families. As a staffer in the Ohio Legislature, I tirelessly advocated for the people of central Ohio.
  • Central Ohio’s west side communities deserve a fierce advocate in the Statehouse. I have dedicated my time and energy to investing in young minds, organizing community cleanups, and serving on the Highland West Civic Association. Now I want to take that commitment to service to the Statehouse to represent our community there.
  • As an Officer in the Army Reserve, I have sacrificed to proudly serve my nation and learned leadership skills I want to put to use as State Representative.
  • I learned the values of hard work and resilience on the factory floor working alongside my mother, and by living those values, I became the first person in my family to graduate from college.
Economic Development & Vocational Training: As a vocational instructor, I have firsthand experience getting people the skills they need to be competitive in a changing workforce. I will fight for investment in career programs for in-demand jobs and boosting funding for our schools.

Easing the Tax Burden on Homeowners: I will fight to relieve the pressure of rising costs and burdensome taxes and lower property taxes so Ohio families can keep their hard-earned money.

Tackling the Opioid Crisis: Having lost my father to opioid addiction, I know the pain families endure due to this public health emergency. I will advocate for comprehensive strategies, including increased access to treatment and prevention initiatives.
Growing up, I looked up to my grandpa. He was an Army Veteran, fought in Vietnam, and came back to raise a family on the west side of Columbus, retiring from Art Iron (now Alro Steel) as a union ironworker. He showed me every day that you show up for your family and your community not just when it’s easy, but also when it’s hard.
Roots in and commitment to the community they wish to serve, experience outside of the legislature so they understand the impact of legislation, leadership skills, integrity

I learned the values of hard work and resilience on the factory floor working alongside my mother, and by living those values, I became the first person in my family to graduate from college. I have since achieved the rank of Captain in the Army Reserve and am on track to complete my MBA in summer 2024.
Absolutely. Within a few weeks of being sworn into the office in January, the states multi-billion-dollar, biennial budget will be introduced. Without previous experience in government, a new legislator will be unable to effectively advocate for their constituents and will lose an opportunity that only comes around once every two years.
