Campaign themes

On his Facebook page, Miles said he ran for the following reasons:[1]

  • Excerpt: "I am running for Oregon State Representative in District 51 so I can protect Oregon from future failure. Currently in Oregon we have small businesses failing and large businesses are considering leaving the state. Our schools are making cuts to the budget by firing teachers and getting rid of extracurricular activities. In addition, there are groups dedicated to diminishing second amendment rights. If I’m elected I will work to turn Oregon in the right direction: as a father of two young children, as a small business owner, and as a defender for our right to bare arms; Oregon’s future is only Miles away."
