I live in Levy County with my amazing wife, Stacey, eighteen miles from Florida’s Gulf Coast. We are both Native Floridians and the proud parents of five boys.

As an undergraduate student, I learned how to collaborate on and create efficient solutions to problems – no matter how big. I sharpened my analytical skills at the University of Virginia Law School. During my three decades as an attorney, I learned the importance of listening and the value of compassion.

Since I began this campaign for the state legislature, I have tried to remember what my parents and teachers taught me -- examine the issues, listen carefully, resist the temptation to engage with unreasonable people, keep my own counsel and think for myself.

These are just some of the forces which have shaped me and some of the tools I will take to our state’s capital. I’m ready to embark on a mission of public service. The Sunshine State has given me much, and it’s time for me to give back. I’m ready to serve the people with leadership that benefits all Floridians. I will be a strong voice for our shared values and work to build a state where no one gets left behind.

If I am fortunate enough to serve as the next Representative from District 22, I will fight for every Floridian's freedom to be healthy, prosperous and safe. I will work tirelessly to ensure that the greatness of our nation is affordable to all Floridians. I will do my part to help make the American Dream the American Reality for everyone.
  • It's time to restore Home Rule to our cities and counties. Tallahassee's one-size-fits-all approach to the needs of our state is hurting our local governments. It's time to remind the career politicians that the best government is the one closest to the people.
  • Tallahassee is completely out of balance. Thirty years of one-party rule in our state capital has created a class of professional politicians who are unresponsive to the needs of the people they serve. Our nation's Founders created a system of government based on checks and balances. It's time to return to basics.
  • Government corruption leads to terrible results. If elected, I will be a loud voice against wasteful and unnecessary projects like the toll roads that the current office holder has consistently supported building through this quiet area of the Sunshine State. Our elected officials should spend taxpayer money based on need not greed.
Strengthening Our Schools

Good Jobs & Economic Opportunity for All

Supporting Farming, Logging, Fishing & Agriculture

Building Our Communities Stronger

Making Smart Investments in Florida's Infrastructure

Saving & Improving Lives with Better Healthcare

Overcoming the Opioid Epidemic Destroying our Communities
The Governor should review and consider the bills that the Legislature puts on his desk. The Governor's role is simply to sign the bills or veto them. The Governor should not try to control the legislative process. The will of the people is expressed through their legislative representatives.
Protection of our fragile natural resources.

Continued population growth.

Outsized and corrupting influence of special interests in Tallahassee.
A non-partisan and independent commission.
Emergency powers should be granted by the legislature only when necessary to save lives and protect our communities.
Yes, but leaders must never abandon their core values. Full stop.
