Sexton ran for re-election to the Second Circuit Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 79.2 percent of the vote. She competed against Kevin Urick. Sexton cross-filed as a Republican and won 69.1 percent of the vote in that primary. 
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [1][2][3] 

Education

Sexton received her undergraduate degree from Goucher College and her J.D. from the Widener University School of Law.[4]

Career

Before she became a judge, Sexton served as a family court master for the Circuit Court for Cecil County from January 2012 until her appointment as circuit court judge in November 2013. She was also previously a partner at her firm of Wilson & Sexton, specializing in family and estate planning law and served as an assistant state's attorney and counsel for the Elkton Board of Zoning Appeals and for the Town of North East.[4]
