Brenda Moody Whinery is the chief judge on the United States bankruptcy court, District of Arizona. She joined the court on February 1, 2013.[1][2] Whinery became chief judge of the court on March 17, 2018.[3]

Education

Whinery received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in and her J.D. from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 1985.[2]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Whinery was a partner with the firm Mesch, Clark & Rothschild from 2002 to 2013. She also served as a mediator for bankruptcy matters and as a U.S. Trustee for the District of Arizona.[2]
