Brenda S. Stedham
Brenda S. Stedham was a presiding circuit judge of the family court division of Alabama's 7th Circuit Court. She was elected to the court in 2008 and took office in January of 2009.[1][2][3]
Stedham was defeated while running for re-election in 2014 and left the bench at the end of her term on January 19, 2015.[4]

Primary: She was defeated in the primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 44.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Peggy P. Miller Lacher.

Stedham was elected to the 7th Circuit Court in 2008.[3]
Education
Stedham received her B.A. cum laude in political science from Birmingham-Southern College and her J.D. from the University of Alabama Law School.[6] In 2009, Stedham completed the two-week general jurisdiction course at the National Judicial College as well as a one-week training on family courts. In 2012, Stedham completed a week of judicial training on drug courts. She has attended state judicial training two times each year since she took the bench in 2009.[6]
