Brendan Shea was a member of the Ohio State Board of Education, representing District 5. He assumed office on January 31, 2022. He left office on January 1, 2025.

Shea ran for election to the Ohio State Board of Education to represent District 10. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

On January 31, 2022, Gov. Mike DeWine (R) announced new district boundaries for the Ohio State Board of Education as part of Ohio’s redistricting after the 2020 census. Brendan Shea earned a bachelor's degree in English from Colby College. Shea's career experience includes working as a research analyst and financial advisor.[1]
