Biography

Brendetta Scott was born in Greenwood, Mississippi. She earned a high school diploma from Greenwood High School, an associate degree from Mississippi Delta Community College in 1994, a bachelor's degree from Jackson State University in 1996, and a law degree from the Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Her career experience includes working as an attorney.[1]

In addition to her legal practice, Brendetta serves as an adjunct professor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law, currently teaching Appellate Litigation and previously teaching Professional Responsibility. She is also an independent hearing examiner for the Texas Education Agency, demonstrating her commitment to fairness and integrity.

Known for her strong negotiation and litigation skills, Brendetta has consistently provided innovative solutions to her clients, making her an ideal candidate for the Court of Appeals. Her extensive experience, passion for justice, and dedication to equality and community service set her apart.
