Brent Aspinwall was recalled from his position as mayor of Emerado, North Dakota, in Grand Forks County in an election on July 19, 2011.[1]

Those supporting the recall were concerned about the resignation of Emerado's police chief in March 2011.

Election results

Aspinwall lost the recall election by four votes. He was defeated by Dan Henneman, who had previously been mayor of Emerado. In the 2010 election, Aspinwall defeated Henneman 60-58 to become mayor.[2]
