I’m Brent Roberson and I’m running for Congress in this 1st district. I’m NOT a politician. I'm a Blue-collar guy and have worked hard all of my life.

I’m a Logger and a Contractor and I’ve lived and worked in the 1st Congressional District my whole life. I’ve worked in probably 17 of the 18 Counties I’ll represent if elected. This area is truly home to me just like it is to most of you

  • "I’m talking about the issues that I know matter to you, the 1st District voters, because I live, work, worship and raise a family here right beside you."
  • Too many politicians speak from the place of polling data. Me, I speak about issues that I know affect my constituents - inflation, the high cost of living, the outrageous price of fuel and the fact that the current resident in the White House is destroying families, freedom and how hard working Americans are struggling to just get food on the table
  • The security of our nation and our entire way of life is now at risk with the current administration exercising policies that are changing the very fabric of our culture and our way of life. Securing our southern border now is our top priority. Allowing some 2 million people, unvetted, to cross into our nation, be given carte blanche with benefits and about to be "made" citizens is a travesty. It has to stop.
National Security, Border Security, Tackling Inflation and Job Creation are my highest priorities.
Jesus. I'm a devout Christian and very active in my church, my community and strive to live a good life based on Biblical principles and I try everyday to live up to the life that true Christians aspire to.
First and foremost, I am not a politician. For decades we have been sending the wrong people to Washington, DC who quickly forget who put them there and why. Then, their office becomes a career which was never the intent of our Founding Fathers. Next, getting reelected becomes their goal and their true purpose for being there gets lost but people keep voting them in and the cycle seems endless. That must change. I firmly I am that needed change. I've worked hard all my life and built successful businesses from the ground up. I've done it through blood, sweat and tears and perseverance. I'm far more like my constituents than the people they've been voting in for decades. I care. I can make a difference and, I'm not looking for a new career, I'm looking to make a difference.
Mt philosophy on the role of elected officials is simple; do the job you were hired to do, Represent We The People free of special influence and your own agenda. You're elected to be a voice for the many and to be a steward for good work that makes a positive difference in the lives of those you represent.
I get asked that question every time I speak publicly to voters. We've had "term limits" since the founding of this great nation, it's called elections. If you don't like how your elected officials are performing, vote them out.

Campaign website

Roberson's campaign website stated the following:

NATIONAL DEFENSE

From every conceivable angle, the Democrats and their radical agenda are stripping our military down to the bone; troop reductions, failing recruitment, high retirement rate of experienced soldiers, forced vaccinations, “social scoring,” and LGBTQ issues, just to name a few.

I believe in a strong military and a military that is focused on recruiting and training the best and the brightest people, free of political agendas, and that allows these brave men and women who serve to simply do their job. Unfortunately, our current leadership in Washington, DC has completely lost sight of the need for a strong military supported by Congress and free of Political Correctness and attempts at social engineering.

If elected, I will fight hard to ensure our soldiers are equipped, trained, supported, and honored, and respected for the amazing job they do to protect this great nation of ours.

IMMIGRATION & BORDER SECRUITY

In just one year the Biden administration has created utter chaos at our southern border with hundreds of thousands of illegals crossing monthly for a total of 1.2 million from 128 nations since Inauguration Day, 2021. Yes, many are seeking jobs and economic opportunities, but there are also violent criminals, sex traffickers, drug dealers, and terrorists crossing over right beside them. This flood of illegals is not only creating a humanitarian crisis at the border, it is a major factor in the rise in violent crime in our cities and the opioid epidemic that is plaguing our nation

It’s past time to take decisive action. It’s time to finish building the wall. It’s time to give both our Border Patrol and ICE the resources they need to do their jobs. We must secure our border now!

We have always been a nation of immigrants. The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of great national pride, symbolizes the fact that those from around the world who want a better life are welcome here. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” They are still welcome, welcome if they come here by legal means, respect our customs and laws, and add value to our culture, our economy, and our lifestyle. Today’s “free for all” plan designed by the Democrats adds no value, usurps our laws, and is damaging our culture, our economy, and the entire social fabric that makes our nation the greatest nation in the free world.

INFLATION, OUT OF CONTROL SPENDING, AND OUR ECONOMY

Inflation is out of control, and families and small businesses right here in the 2nd District are paying the price. We’re paying more for everything including groceries, gas, medicine, heating fuel, clothes, and building supplies. The rate of inflation in the U.S. is at its highest level in more than 30 years. Rapidly rising Federal debt crafted by lawmakers in DC, coupled with the rising price of consumer goods and the lessening value of the dollar we have in our wallets, makes for a toxic mix for American families.

At the same time, our small businesses are struggling to find workers and our supply chain is a mess.

Why? Because Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi have pushed through trillions of dollars in government spending programs, enacted hundreds of new and overly burdensome regulations on our small businesses, declared war on energy, and incentivized people to stay at home instead of working!

As your next Congressman, I will lead the fight to rein in Inflation and restore fiscal restraint and economic sanity to Washington. I will work hard in Washington to restore our Nation’s health financially and economically to where it was just a year or two ago. We must return to the pro-growth policies of President Trump that lead to increased wages for working families NOT increased prices for everything we need to survive. We cannot afford two more years of total Democrat control.

PRO-LIFE

As a Christian and a father, I am firmly committed to protecting the lives of the unborn and preserving the right to life. Every life is a precious gift from God and should be treated as such. As your voice in Washington, I will always stand up for the voiceless – the unborn children of America.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

America was founded on the principle of religious liberty. Every American has the right to believe and worship as they choose, and to live according to their beliefs. No one has the right to take that away from us. Instead of attacking our religious freedom, we must embrace it!

2ND AMENDMENT GUN RIGHTS

The 2nd Amendment of the Constitution says, “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” and that’s what it means. In Congress, you can count on me to fight to protect and expand our 2nd Amendment Gun Rights![2]
