Hello, my name is Brenton Hammond and I am running to represent District 43 in the House of Delegates. I was raised by two parents that taught me faith in Jesus Christ, servant leadership, hard work, and standing up for what is right are the bests contributions to society. I have been a resident of NOVA since 2008. I spent eight years in the Secret Service Uniformed Division, I was elected twice to serve as a Deacon in my church in Alexandria, and I celebrated back in April ten fantastic years of marriage to my beautiful wife Courtney. I currently work full time for a defense contracting company. I believe in solving problems and not creating them. Richmond is failing us, and we need a servant of the people to make sure the people’s voice are heard through the halls of Richmond.
  • Education ( 5 day a week in person learning, academic excellence, school choice, teaching students how to think not what to think)
  • Public Safety (100% supporting our Law Enforcement, passing laws that keep our communities safe, ending human & sex trafficking)
  • Protecting the constitutional rights and religious liberties of all, defending the precious unborn, protecting the right to defend yourself
I am passionate about Education, Public Safety, Protecting our Small Businesses, Defending the Unborn, Affordable Living, Ending Human and Sex Trafficking, Defending the Constitutional Rights and Religious Liberties of all, Term Limits, Limited Government, Energy Efficiency, Transportation, Implementing a Crisis Playbook for the State of Virginia, Protecting and Helping our residents with Disabilities and Special Needs. I am passionate on several other topics.
"I will lift up mine eyes onto the hills, from whence cometh my help " Psalm 121 KJV. Jesus Christ is my strength, it is only by His grace that I am able to do anything. I am not perfect and I have faults but I am a man after the heart of God. I am only concerned about honoring and pleasing Jesus Christ. There is no better demonstration of servant leadership than Jesus Christ . I aim to be the best servant leader that I can be.
Integrity, ethics, telling the truth, being visible in the community, being direct and forthcoming with the people you work for (the constituents).
Representing all of your constituents not just the ones that voted for you. Listening to the people and staying in regular communication with the people.
First invasion into Iraq, because my sister was sent to fight in that war (I was a child in the early 1990's).
I was a campus security guard at my college for all four years. That job is what led to me wanting a career in law enforcement which eventually led me to the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division.
