For 17 years as Montgomery County District Attorney, I have stood on the front lines of law and order, earning a reputation as a fearless defender of public safety and a principled conservative leader. Born in Texas and raised in Montgomery County, my commitment to service began early — shaped by my stepfather, a police officer, and inspired by Texas heroes who stood up for what was right. A graduate of Texas A&M University and South Texas College of Law, I began my career as a jailer before becoming an Assistant District Attorney, later serving as counsel for the Houston Police Officers’ Union, and eventually being elected District Attorney in 2008. As District Attorney, I built one of the most respected prosecutor’s offices in Texas. I created specialized divisions to target public corruption, child exploitation, human trafficking, domestic violence, and major crimes. I implemented innovations, including a 24/7 on-call prosecutor system, a digital forensics unit, and one of the state’s earliest Veterans Treatment Courts. I worked closely with lawmakers to strengthen public safety, support law enforcement, protect victims, and hold government accountable. I have been married to my wife, Shannon, for 32 years. Guided by our faith, we’ve raised two children with a steadfast commitment to family, integrity, and service. I am ready to continue fighting for Texas and Senate District 4.
  • We must keep Texans safe. With crime rising across the nation and soft-on-crime policies taking hold in too many places, Texas must stand firm. I will continue strengthening public safety, defending law enforcement, and ensuring violent offenders are not released back onto our streets.

Public safety doesn’t stop at crime. Flooding is a danger that has repeatedly devastated families from East Montgomery County to Lake Houston. Texans deserve infrastructure that protects them from natural disasters just as much as they deserve protection from violent offenders.

Texans deserve the peace of mind that their government prioritizes public safety above politics.
  • The Texas border is a national crisis zone. It is the frontline of our sovereignty, safety, and economic stability. Open-border policies have unleashed unprecedented illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human exploitation. Communities are overwhelmed, families are suffering, and Washington continues to fail in its duty. Texas cannot—and will not—wait. I will support policies that secure the border, strengthen enforcement, and ensure Texas has the tools to defend itself.
  • Property taxes are crushing Texans. Families, seniors, and new homeowners are being priced out of the very communities they helped build. I will fight for lasting, structural property tax relief—not temporary Band-Aids. No Texan should ever have to choose between paying their taxes and putting food on the table. We must reform this system to protect homeowners and preserve the Texas dream.
I am passionate about protecting innocent life, strengthening public safety, securing the border, defending the Second Amendment, delivering real property tax relief, promoting fiscal responsibility, ensuring election integrity, and preserving the conservative values that have made Texas the strongest state in the nation.
Additionally, for Senate District 4, one of the most pressing and immediate challenges is repeated and devastating flooding. Families, businesses, and entire neighborhoods have endured catastrophic losses due to floodwater. I am committed to fighting for smarter regional planning, improved flood mitigation infrastructure, and funding solutions that protect our communities permanently.
Integrity, courage, and unwavering conviction. An elected official must tell the truth, stand firm when it matters, and defend the people they serve—even when it’s difficult. Texans deserve leaders who don’t flinch under pressure.
The core responsibility of any elected official is to listen to and serve their constituents. A senator must be a strong voice for their district, advance conservative solutions, and ensure government remains accountable, limited, and firmly rooted in constitutional principles.
I want to leave a legacy of unwavering service, unshakable integrity, and principled conservative leadership. I have spent my entire career protecting Texans, defending the rule of law, and putting public safety above politics. In the Texas Senate, I will continue that mission and ensure future generations inherit a safer, stronger, and freer Texas.
Texas needs meaningful, lasting property tax reform. The current system is unsustainable. In addition, we must continue securing the border, strengthening public safety, expanding critical infrastructure, and protecting Texas children from harmful ideologies that undermine families and communities.
