Brett Jacob Szematowicz is a judge of the Pinellas County Court in Florida. He assumed office on October 1, 2020. His current term ends on January 2, 2029.
Szematowicz won re-election for judge of the Pinellas County Court in Florida outright in the general election on November 8, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.
Szematowicz was appointed to the Pinellas County Court by Governor Ron DeSantis on August 19, 2020, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Myriam Irizarry.[1]
Biography
Szematowicz received his bachelor's degree in Justice from The American University and a law degree from South Texas College of Law. After graduating, he served as the Assistant State Attorney for the Florida 6th Circuit Court from October 2007 to September 2011. He became the owner and managing partner at Greater Tampa Law P.L. in April 2013.[2][3]
