I am a Christian, husband, father, and business owner. My God comes first, then family, then country. I will not sway from my beliefs. I will represent my constituents with the full faith they have given me. I am not perfect by a LONG shot but I promise to give 110% to my Country and State! I LOVE LOUISIANA!!! I will not sacrifice ANYONE to give myself a leg up! I promise you that! I will work fervently to give Louisiana and Our Country what we need and strive for… A Better Life!! I have never been a politician, but feel the need now, more than ever, to serve our State and Country!

Our way of life and our liberties are becoming a focal point in this nation. Some people are just letting it happen while the majority are strong willed and looking for a resolution. They are vigilant in what they want done, but are feeling powerless to get it done! I am one of those Americans that feel it is time to get back to our fundamentals and give the government back to the people the way it should be! There needs to be accountability and justice! WE THE PEOPLE know what needs to be done and I am hoping that that will start with me.

  • I am an America First candidate and I am a MAGA Supporter!
  • I want less big government in our lives!
  • I WANT TERM LIMITS!!! We need to get the establishment out!
The BEST Mental health care for OUR veterans and the citizens of this country! Getting rid of the greed and abusive spending in Washington! Giving AMERICA back to the people and making this Country the greatest Country on Earth again! Getting rid of the WOKENESS and Stupidity in education and getting EVERYONE an education in trade, business, or a profession to make America the manufacturing and business capitol of the WORLD!

Making America Great Again!!!

The majority of the people should decide what goes on in this country not the minority few!!
First and foremost I look up to Jesus! I cannot, nor will I ever be as GREAT of a man or Christian as he was and still is! I try to live the best Christian life I can. I am far from perfect, but I know I am. And with that comes the patience and humbleness that I am going to need to get what needs to be done in Washington.

Second, I look up to all those that have given their lives for America for our Freedoms that are trying to be ripped away from us! I joined the Marines to try to help myself, but was hurt in training and received a medical discharge before I could get out in the world.

Last, I look up to the many educators in our country that move Heaven and Earth to give our children the best education in the world!
Honesty, patience, charisma, love of life and people, and the ability to listen. Not just hear but actually listen to the constituents and advise from others.
Working to help and better the citizens of their state and America through no nonsense and un-politically motivated legislation and spending.

PERIOD!

I just want America to be America again. I want people to love this country the way they used to and live their lives without having to worry wether there will even be a country left for us to enjoy.
Hostage crisis in Iran in 1980. I was 8 years old. My father was in the Army from '69-'71 and I remember him getting disgusted at the events as they unfolded
Feed store warehouseman. 2 years. Blended custom feed for horses and other farm animals.
The Tom Clancy series with Jack Ryan.
Truly understanding the other side of a conversation. Everyone has different opinions and thoughts and being able to understand and accept the differences without making an issue out of it has been a battle for me. I've accepted the idea that there are ALWAYS going to be conflicting interests and ideas and that I just need to listen and focus on a mutual solution that benefits the majority and not the individual. There will never be a time where everyone is on the same page, but I cannot stop helping everyone I can to the best of my ability whether it is different from my opinion or not.
It used to be a great institution of Law and Stability. People actually looked up to our Congressmen and Women and felt they were doing what this country needed! Now I feel like it's all about the whose who of who can get the most power and control from everyone. I know we can get back to being the respected institution we used to be. It will just take change from the bottom up.
I do not! I feel the best Representatives are those that have lived the life of a common citizen and fought the everyday fights. Those that have been in politics their whole lives really don't understand the struggles the American people face. It's easy for the elite to tell everyone how they need to live when they are not living that life themselves.
Giving America back to the people like it should be! Getting the establishment out of Washington and other areas of politics to allow this country to prosper and be GREAT!
Yes. And 4-5 terms should be the end of the representation. New Representatives should come into office with new ideas more often than they do. It should not be a career! It should be an honor to be elected to serve the citizens to the best of your ability! Not pillage them for everything they have!!!
WE NEED TERM LIMITS!!! PERIOD!!! We would not be in this situation we are in now if we had term limits.
Newt Gingrich, Paul Ryan and Elise Stefanik

They all have platforms that look out for the American people and businesses first and want to eliminate unneeded taxes and regulations to better this Country.
I feel compromise is not necessary for policymaking for the American people! We are elected by the people for the people. Everything we do should be for the betterment of America and its citizens! Not the betterment of our pocketbooks!
I would first review all the funding that is currently being used and figure out ways to re-allocate the funding to better meet the needs of the people and government. The Federal government has way more than enough money to run proficiently and economically sound. Someone just needs to get in there and do the right thing! My major priority would be to get rid of government waste through legislation to reduce and stop future spending on unnecessary items.

Campaign website

Belzer's campaign website stated the following:

Brian's Thoughts About Term Limits

8 years. That’s it. Politicians are getting too greedy and are getting in bed with too many influencers that are making them do stuff for the money instead of the people. Being in Congress should not be a career! It should be a short service to your community and America to keep this country GREAT!

I will term limit myself to 4 two-year terms (8 years). If I can’t accomplish what needs to be accomplished, then someone else needs to step up and get it done! That’s the way it needs to be. I can promise you I will do everything in my power to get term limits approved by the people!

Brian's Thoughts About American Jobs

Americans need Americans to build our future. We do not need to rely on the rest of the world to be the Greatest Country!! I want to see more federal money going to the states for OUR education instead of the wasteful spending in other countries!

WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

WE can fix this problem by investing in ourselves. Not everyone needs a white collar job. Tradesmen are our future. We need to get federal dollars to the people that need it most - welders, pipe fitters, diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, a/c repair personnel, carpenters, truck drivers, pipeline workers, hair dressers, any trade that can give people the sense of accomplishment they need to be fulfilled in life. Not everyone is cut out for college. But everyone needs a trade!

We need to provide the opportunities. Those opportunities seem so far away to many people and they feel as if it is not attainable. We have to give the guidance and assistance needed to make people want those opportunities.

Louisiana needs skilled workers. Federal money needs to be injected into our economy by way of educational job training for those that need it the most.

America needs the money!! Not the rest of the world!!

Brian's Thoughts About Healthcare for the Mentally Ill

America is a GREAT nation that is losing track of what it means to take care of our own. Our citizens are being thrown to the curb because they have a mental illness that no one wants to deal with! Depression, suicide, anxiety, to name a few, are more prevalant than ever. It is our responsibility as a country to assist our fellow Americans in any way we can!

Our advancement in medicine can help over 95% of mental health problems. We just need to get the help to where it needs to go. It is as simple as it sounds.

Get rid of the bureaucracy and get it done!!

Brian's Thoughts About Voting Power of the People

  • The people should be able to vote on major Federal issues.
  • The states should have more control of themselves.
  • The federal government should be an overseer of the states and not a policy maker.
  • We The People should be able to decide if the government oversteps its bounds by way of a vote, not just by dictatorship or party lines.

Brian's Thoughts About Military Might

Our military needs to be strong and ready. I am for continued money for our military every year. We have to be a strong nation. Period.

Brian's Thoughts About Southern U.S. Border

Fully funding the border wall and adding more officers

This pretty much speaks for itself!

Brian's Thoughts About Non-Discriminatory Vaccine Legislation

It’s sad that it comes down to this, but there has to be a law to stop this madness from ever happening again! No local, state or federal government should have the power to discriminate against someone who refuses to take a non proven vaccine or medicine by way of firing them or taking their rights away from them. This should already be a HIPPA violation but I want to make it law.

Also the hospitals and doctors should not be held under the gun to follow draconian measures set forth by the government! They are doctorsfor a reason! They know what they are doing!

Brian's Thoughts About Green Initative

I am all for alternative power and less emissions for Louisiana and our country but we need to keep the workers working. We will never be free of fossil fuels. They are part of our everyday lives. We need to continue researching solar, wind and nuclear power but we cannot just stop producing carbon based fuel and oil. The oil industry is a great provider of jobs and money for Louisiana. It is always finding safer and better ways to produce the products we need for everyday life. Louisiana and the rest of the country needs the petrochemical industry!

Brian's Thoughts About Veteran Healthcare

The VA is way too bureaucratic. Their budget is $300 Billion and yet they are constantly letting our vets down. The government does NOT need to be in the business of healthcare!

I will propose legislation to allow private insurance companies to bid on contracts for veteran healthcare. Get the money away from the bureaucrats and give it to the people that know the healthcare industry.

Every Vet deserves a primary care physician that will KNOW there patient intimately. They sacrificed so much for this country and are getting the bureaucratic shaft!

Brian's Thoughts About Immigrants

Everyone needs to be given an opportunity in life including all the immigrants in our country. But they need to do it the legal way. We need to reform the immigration laws to help ease the burden of citizenship but need to be vigilant in keeping the criminals out! The southern border wall needs to be fully funded and completed!

Brian's Thoughts About Financial Waste

There is more than enough money for America to operate on! I will work hard on passing a bill that will limit the amount of expenditures in a single bill.

Five expenditures per bill is enough for any spending bill that is for a specific purpose! If the Bill is for infrastructure, then items involving infrastructure should be the only items in the bill!

Congress put a moratorium on the practice of earmarking in 2010. In 2021, the current Congress lifted the ban! This ban needs to be set in stone!

Brian's Thoughts About Executive Power Overreach

As has been proven over the last year, Executive power to enact and maintain emergency mandates and orders is being abused in the name of government control! Our personal healthcare rights, liberties and personal choices are being trampled on at an alarming rate!

I feel Congress needs to be able to oversee the emergency powers of the President after a certain amount of time if it involves the American people. After any emergency health declaration, Congress should be involved in the continued process of these declarations. After 60 days, Congress should have to decide if the order is continued or not. If it is, every 120 days thereafter, Congress will have to review it and decide whether to continue it again.

Brian's Thoughts About Truth in Media

Everyone dislikes the media! I feel it is beyond past the time to pass legislation to make them responsible for their actions!

The media should be held to a higher standard when it comes to truths and lies. They are the ones to whom the American People are trying to get the facts from. When they lie, don’t tell the whole truth, or just plain ignore news that needs to be told, they need to be held accountable.

I propose a bill to hit them in the pocket book with fines whenever they are choosing ratings over TRUTH!

Create an entity that will make sure they are not lying or telling half-truths before the real truth comes out. If they blatantly lie or try to discredit a true story, they will be fined a large amount.

Brian's Thoughts About Our Healthcare

Local, State and Federal governments SHOULD NOT have the power to tell us what our medical needs are and what to put in our bodies. That is a decision between you and your doctors!

You should not be “punished” for not “obeying” the government. Tyranny starts with our rights being taken away!

Our Constitutional Rights as Americans are guaranteed! The first 10 Amendments are called “The Bill of Rights”, not the Bill of Allowances!

Brian's Thoughts About the 2nd Amendment

  • Our 2nd Amendment Rights are trying to be completely stripped from us! I will not let that happen!
  • Honest law abiding citizens are not the problem! Guns are not the problem! Politics and criminals are the problem! The current administration is the problem!
  • I will work towards trying to get Federal Constitutional Carry passed to lock in stone our rights! The Second Amendment already does that, but certain “undereducated” people will not stop trying to take our guns until legislation is enacted.

Brian's Thoughts About the Federal Constitutional Carry

The honest, law abiding citizen is not the problem in this country. The crooked politicians who release criminals from jail and the criminals themselves are! Guns don’t shoot people! People shoot people! Every law abiding citizen should be able to carry a pistol on them either concealed or open at any time. Of course they need to go through the same steps they do already with a background check but everyone that purchases guns from dealers already have to do that! Except the criminals! They do whatever they want anyway.

To go even further, I feel there should be a Federal Carry card for anyone that likes to buy guns and suppressors, that allows them to purchase these items from dealers without having to go through the lengthy ATF waiting period. Send in your prints and application, unless you already have a CCP, then you can use that info, then get the federal card valid for 5 years.

Law abiding citizens should be able to buy what they want without having to pay a $200 tax stamp!

Brian's Thoughts About Education in America Needs A Parental Bill of Rights

Parents and teachers need to have more power to decide what our children learn. The Federal Government needs to oversee the states and make sure certain things are followed, but the states need the power to control the final outcome.

I will work on legislation that stops certain things that hurt our children like CRT and gentrification. Parents need to be the one to talk to their children about issues like that- not schools! We also need to do away with Common Core Math and medical mandates. We need common sense education not do as I think education.

Not as specific as State Legislation, but an overview of what needs to be taken out of the textbooks and what rights the parents have when it comes to their children. The government does not know what is best for OUR children. That has been proven again and again.

Brian's Thoughts About National Fire Academy

As a volunteer and former paid firefighter, I know the importance of training. It means the difference between life and death! Both yours and the firefighters!

The National Fire Academy is the main resource for all local and state, volunteer and paid firemen training. i will push for legislation to not only have standardized fire fighting training nationwide but also fund a National Fire Academy to ensure fire fighters get the training they need to save lives and survive the rigors of their jobs.[2]
