Brian J. Dunn is a probate and family court justice for the Essex Probate and Family Court in Essex County, Massachusetts.[1] He was appointed to the court by former Governor Deval Patrick on May 8, 2013.[2] Though he was appointed to the Dukes Probate and Family Court, Dunn sits on the bench for the Essex Probate and Family Court.[3]

Before he joined the Essex Probate and Family Court, Dunn worked as an attorney in solo practice in Boston, Massachusetts, specializing in child custody, probate, and mental health proceedings. He also previously worked for the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Suffolk County.[2]
