I was born and raised in a southern Baptist home in North Carolina, where my parents not only taught me about Jesus Christ but to be a fiscally responsible conservative. Upon graduation from high school, I enlisted in the Navy were I served my country for 10 years and achieved the rank of E-6/Machinist Mate 1st Class. During my time in the military, I served on 2 ships. An amphibious assault ship, the USS Trenton LPD-14 and an aircraft carrier, the USS John C. Stennis CVN-74. I was deployed 3 times, one of which was just after 9/11. While serving onboard the aircraft carrier, I met my wife of 17 years, Amber. After my time in the military, I utilized my Navy training and started working in the commercial nuclear industry. I’m currently employed at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Port Gibson, MS and my family and I reside in Clinton, MS where we are raising our 3 beautiful daughters. In November of 2019 I made the decision that someone needed to stand up to these career politicians and work to get this country headed back in the right direction. Since I made that decision, my resolve has never wavered and my dedication has never been stronger. I stand ready to fight for everyone in Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District.
There are many areas of public policy that I’m passionate about. These include abolishing CRT, illegal immigration, and bringing jobs back to the district.

Abolishing CRT: No race is better than another race, period! The fact that the liberals are pushing this issue in schools is completely wrong. They’re working to influence the mind’s of our children while they are still extremely influential. I will work to put forward a bill to abolish all forms of CRT.

Illegal Immigration: Our southern boarder is more porous than it has ever been. More and more illegal immigrants are coming into our country and all our current government wants to do is welcome them in without so much as a background check. They have no idea if another terrorist cell has entered the country or not. That’s why I will be working to put forth a bill to close down the southern boarder and permanently remove these illegal immigrates as they come across our boarder.

Bring Back Jobs to the District: Many areas at one time had many industrial companies and small businesses. In the past 3 decades, many of the corporations have left the district and small businesses have closed up shop. I will work to set our district up to entice corporations to return and to provide incentives for people to start up a small business.
I have a never quit personality. I keep at something until I succeed at it. I have the drive of a military veteran.
To ensure that their constituents are put first, then the people of the state, then America.
A better country for our children to inherit.
I worked at the Olive Garden while I attended high school and was employed there for 3 years.
Pulling back from the socialistic ways that’s it’s currently trying to go down.
The Agriculture Committee and The Energy Committee. These 2 committees are relevant to Mississippi’s 2 Congressional District.
No. I believe that Representatives should be given 4 years and the seats should be staggered. Half the house at a time is up for re-election. 2 years is not a lot of time to get things done. After the first year, many representative head home to campaign.
I believe term limits should be set and enforced. I don’t believe anyone should spend more than 12 years in office. It’s meant to be a term of service, not a career.
Some compromises may be required, but one should not sacrifice their morals just to get a bill passed.

Campaign website

Flowers' campaign website stated the following:

Supporting Our Veterans:

As a veteran of the Navy, I have seen first hand the challenges our brave men and women in uniform face while on duty, and returning home into the civilian workforce.

The most important issue to me is protecting the healthcare of those who served. As the left works to strip away VA benefits, we need to fight for those that have fought for us.

Immigration:

The Biden administration, along with Bennie Thompson (Chairman of the Homeland Security), have made a complete mockery of our immigration laws. They failed to secure the boarders after the Afghanistan disaster, allowing only God knows who into our country, unchecked. They are currently smuggling illegal immigrants into the country and dropping them off at various airports, after hours. This is no better than the human trafficker's that are smuggling people across the border.

America’s current immigration policies are not working and change is needed. Illegal immigration threatens job security of not only the people in Mississippi but of the United States, as well. Our country’s border security is directly related to our nation’s security.

I am strongly opposed to amnesty for illegal immigrants. There is a proper way to come into this country and its not crossing the Rio Grande'. I will fight to keep illegal immigrants out of our country. I will also work to hold anyone, regardless of their position or power, accountable for smuggling any illegal immigrants into our country's interior.

Education:

Just like many of the areas in our country that are run by Democrats, our schools are failing. As Mississippians, we are in the midst of an educational crisis. We cannot sustain the community that we love when the majority of our school districts have a “C” rating or below. Many are rated “F”.

CRT is becoming a growing problem that is being pushed by many in the Democratic Party. Not only as your Congressman, but as a father of 3 daughters who would be directly affected by this, I will constantly fight against any legislation that would teach our children that one race is better than another. That one race is superior to another.

Our children are our future and we MUST ensure that they have the best education that can be provided.

Infrastructure:

Our roads and bridges have been overlooked for far too long here in Mississippi. If we are going to compete in the coming decades, it is time to invest in our much needed infrastructure upgrades. Infrastructure in our community is the number one item potential businesses look at when looking for an area to relocate or expand. It is also the number one item tourist to our state remember.

As your congressman, I will fight in Washington D.C. to bring true infrastructure to Mississippi and not some pipedream that will bankrupt the nation.

Pro-Life:

As your congressman for the 2nd House District, I pledge to you that I will never sway in the fight to protect and defend the unborn. As the left continues to attack pro-life values across our nation, I am asking you to send me to Congress to say enough is enough. As a Christian and a conservative candidate, I will always defend the unborn children of America.

2nd Amendment:

As a member of the National Rifle Association, and avid hunter, it is in my view that the framers were very clear in their message when crafting the United States Constitution. Our founders adopted the Second Amendment, so the American people would have the means to defend themselves from a tyrannical government should it become a threat to liberty. I’m a staunch defender of the Second Amendment.

You can be assured, that as a member of Congress I will vigilantly work to defend the right to keep and bear arms because it is foundational to all other Constitutional rights and to our American liberty. Human rights do not derive, as many erroneously believe, from the government. Rather, our rights are conferred upon us by God. It’s the responsibility of government to acknowledge those rights, and protect them.[4]

My name is Brian Flowers. I'm a conservative Republican that believes that the 2nd Congressional District of Mississippi is in need for someone to correct the many years of neglect. The specific items that I stand for and I'm running on can be found on my website at www.flowersforcongress.com as well as my Facebook page Brian Flowers for Congress.
The public policies that I'm personally passionate about are healthcare and education. I believe that both of these areas are in need of work.
Honor to stand up for what's right. Courage to face the challenges that stand in the way. Commitment to follow through with the promises made.
To listen to the voters and vote to pass legislation that will benefit there district.
I would want to be apart of the agricultural committee. I believe that is one of the most important ones to be apart of, as that would allow me to provide a voice for the farmers of Mississippi, District 2.
I believe the House of Representatives should be on a 4 year rotation.
I believe that the House of Representatives and the Senate should have a max term of 12 years.
