Brian Foley (New York)
Brian X. Foley is a former Democratic member of the New York State Senate, representing District 3 from January 1, 2009, to January 1, 2011.
Foley was elected to County Legislator for Suffolk County Legislature in 1993, and was re-elected to five terms. He is also the founder of the Environmental Quality Review Board. He was Town Supervisor for Brookhaven in Suffolk County from 2005 to 2007.[1]
Biography
Foley earned his B.A. in American Studies from St. Michael's College.[1]

Foley was unopposed in the September 14 Democratic Primary. He was defeated by Lee Zeldin (R) in the general election.[2] In addition to running on the Democratic ticket, he was also listed as a candidate of the Working Families Party.[3]

On November 4, 2008, Brian Foley won the election for New York State Senate, District 3 with 67,480 votes.[4][5]
