My name is Brian Gentry and I am running for South Dakota State Senate for District 35.

I am seeking the privilege to be a fresh voice and to elevate this community. I aim to bring the voices of our residents alive. With purposeful action, I will work strategically to move us forward united over a common vision. I will ensure that our city will continue to thrive, while continuing to be an affordable, safe, welcoming, and livable place for all of its residents.

In both my public and professional lives, I have been a positive, decisive, and innovative leader, who understands the importance of cooperation and teamwork, to accomplish a common goal.

I believe in safety and prosperity for all. I also believe that we leave our state and nation in better shape than we found it, by staying engaged as a community.
  • Protecting Constitutional Rights and Traditional Family Values.
  • Promoting Community Enagagement.
  • Cutting Government Waste and Protecting Taxpayer Dollars.
I am passionate about protecting our constitutional rights, creating and retaining American jobs, empowering our economy to enable it to grow, and standing up for traditional family values.
Lynne DiSanto, Former State Senator.

Lynne served District 35 of South Dakota with great dignity and honor. As an elected representative, Lynne's commitment to ensuring the success and prosperity of our community serves as an inspiration to myself and many others.

Lynne served by consistently engaging with myself and other members of our community to make sure our voices were heard. Additionally, Lynne's "For The People" initiative and commitment to putting others first remains a central example of what selfless service to the community truly looks like.

Lynne DiSanto will always carry an incredibly special place in my heart!
The most important qualities of a good leader include integrity, accountability, empathy, humility, resilience, vision, influence, and positivity. Management is about persuading people to do things they do not want to do, while leadership is about inspiring people to do things they never thought they could. I truly feel that what I demonstrate very well through my leadership is;

Sharing Vision
Lead by Example
Demonstrate Integrity
Communicate Effectively
Make Hard Decisions
Recognize Success
Empower Others
Motivate and Inspire

These attributes have aligned themselves with the many success stories that I have had the privilege of sharing over the years, and will continue to for the times to come!
The framers of the Constitution created the United States Senate to protect the rights of individual states and safeguard minority opinions in a system of government designed to give greater power to the national government. This is accomplished by the introduction of bills and resolutions pertaining to issues facing each individual community. The Senate fulfills its role as a check on government by scrutinizing bills, delegated legislation, government administration, and government policy through the drafting of amendments and by serving on various, necessary committees. All of this is accomplished by way of procedures utilized in the Senate Chamber itself and through the operation of the Senate committee system.
I believe every one brings their own ideas to the table. There has been a recent push for people with diverse backgrounds to serve in their communities. Having the necessary leadership qualities and clear vision are the main attributes of successfully retaining a seat that ensures the prosperity of our local community.
With the rapidly evolving technologies that surround us, I believe that we may best ensure the continued success of our economy by protecting the interests of the citizens of South Dakota. Staying connected with our businesses and their needs will only magnify the future success of our local economy. With the correct framework in place, we can ensure that the growth of this state is a certainty - it is imperative that we act to drive results now!
Absolutely. It is the duty of each elected representative to ensure that a concerted effort is made to work collaboratively for the greater good of our respective communities.
