Im a Pastor, Father, Husband and a public servant. Im currently elected to San Jacinto City Council. I have always had a people first approach to everything I have ever done. Im an unselfish person with a desire to get things done. I have advocated for human rights from my pulpit. Im a former felon who is endorsed by local law enforcement, sheriffs and District Attorney Mike Hestrin. My story of turning my life around is amazing. Im a strong supporter of fixing the education system and making sure or children grow up in a safe environment. I believe we should finally address our nations immigration problems by building stronger borders with bigger doors. We should build bridges with nations that need our help. Every person who comes to America is a dreamer. People dream of a better life for their future generations. I will fight for every citizen to have equal access to the rights that our founding fathers believed we should have.
  • I don't care if you are liberal or conservative, you deserve to have your voice heard in Washington D.C.
  • If we fix the education system, we fix homelessness and mass incarceration. Knowledge is power and 75% of inmates are high school drop outs.
  • People don't know what they don't know and we are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
Fix education

Allocate money for small business

Provide better resources for our boarder patrol

change laws and make being homeless a mental health crisis

provide a easier path way to citizenship.

every inmate that parole have a degree or trade ( give access to FASFSA)

Fix allocation of welfare aide. fathers should be included in 50/50 working together to create healthy child environment.

Fix the crisis with salton sea

I looked up to Fredrick Douglass. His boldness in 1852 to address an entirely white audience about the importance of ending slavery in America. His speech moved the republican party to fight for justice and equality for all. I believe God has called me to be Fredrick in 2022
Im a servant leader. My heart is for the people. I am focused on building bridges not walls.
They should meet with the people often and not just for photo ops.
I changed the narrative and help close the door to excuses.
I ran for office and became the first African American elected to council in the city of San Jacinto. I was 41 years old.
My first job was a teacher aide at the age of 16 for the Sweetwater unified school district. I had that job for a year.
Long walk to freedom. what Nelson Mandela did to liberate his people in Africa was powerful
It has been Established Jekalyn Carr
my marriage was a huge struggle. my wife ive known since I was 8years old. we divorced 7 years ago. we are now back together. that has been a huge story of success of how we are better today.
It's a house built to hear the voice of the people. As a pastor i've always had the ability to hear peoples issues, complains, concerns and interest. I look at the seat the same as a mail carrier. mu job is to deliver the message from my constituent to the address in D.C. It's a federal crime to taper with mail. Thats the problem with elected officials who dont speak for they people, they are guilty of tapering with the people's mail.
Yes, I believe every rep should have experience with local politics to get a pulse of the people.
Overcoming identity politics and giving in to special rights over equal rights. we have become a nation governed by mob rules. until we fix our moral compass our nation will be hided in the wrong direction. Morality was the fall of every great nation.
I don't believe any politicians should be in office longer than the presidents term. 8-12 years should be the max for any elected official in that office.
Congressman Byron Donalds of Florida for his boldness. Jay Oberlnote of California for his intelligence.
I met a man named Lakshman Koka from India. His story inspires me. His wife Dr. Koka and him have come to america and built one of the best medical facilities you can imagine having in our community. Their story is the epitome of the American dream.
The wright brothers was told they could never build an airplane. If you want to see something done in office that has never been done before, Vote for the RIGHT BROTHA!

Campaign website

Hawkins' campaign website stated the following:

OUR ISSUES

I'm not going to D.C. to make friends, I'm going to be there to make a difference, for you, your family, small businesses, and your livelihoods! This isn't a liberal or a conservative thing... this is an American thing. Help me and take your voice to D.C. to support my campaign and let's make a difference together.

PUBLIC SAFETY

I support the police, and we need them active in our communities now more than ever with crime rates rising.

EDUCATION

Our school systems are ranked 42nd in the nation! This is unacceptable along with the curriculum they're teaching.

ECONOMY

43% of California Residents can't afford to live in California, and with rising inflation rates we're doomed![3]
