Brian John Back is the presiding judge for the Superior Court of Ventura County in California. He was first appointed to the Ventura County Municipal Court by former governor Pete Wilson in 1997, and was elevated to the Superior Court in 1998 through court unification. Back was re-elected in 2012 and his current term will expire in 2019. He was unanimously elected as the Superior Court's presiding judge for 2013 and 2014.[1][2][3]

Education

Back received a bachelor's degree from Claremont McKenna College and a J.D. from the University of Santa Clara, Law School. He also received a master's degree in government from the Claremont Graduate University.[2]
