|Brian is running for Treasurer to ensure responsible management of public funds through transparency and a robust data system that’s integrated with the related County Offices and departments. He understands the need for the Treasurer’s office to play a meaningful role in our Pima County government; manage investments with a return that emphasis values of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Climate Awareness in alignment with the County’s Prosperity Initiative.
Brian brings fourteen years professional experience in the county government, and three years on the Arizona State Board of Equalization to the table. Accessibility to the Treasurer’s office will help local businesses with planning development and tax liabilities. Accountability, beyond the internal audit requirements, to the policy making Board of Supervisors is necessary to insure the citizen’s faith in the Treasurer’s Office’s responsibility to meet the needs of the community.- Prosperity - Investment policy that focuses on local investment.
- Accountability - Report to the Board of Supervisors how public funds are being managed with mandatory quarterly reports. Publish investment reports that are understandable.
- Accessibility - Integrated data throughout the county departments so there' is a resource for businesses and individual citizens. Make property tax and investment information easily understandable and useful.
