Rater failed to advance past the November 2, 2010, general election.
Rater advanced past the September 14 primary election. He faced incumbent Melanie Levesque (D), incumbent Richard Drisko (D), incumbent Carolyn Gargasz (D), John Dunn (D), Georjean Shrager (D), Jim Belanger (R), and Jack Flanagan (R) in the November 2 general election.
