The Judicial Update

February 5, 2011

Ocean City, Maryland: Brian Shockley was sworn in to the 1st Circuit Court of Maryland on January 27, 2011.[1] The 45-year-old lawyer will replace Theodore R. Eschenburg, who retired in June of 2010, as a judge of Worcester County. Shockley has worked with the Ocean City law firm of Williams, Moore, Shockley, and Harrison, LLP as an attorney (and later, partner) since 1995. Regarding the judgeship, he explained, "you have to listen, you have to be fair and you can't take yourself too seriously."[2]
