Brian Valentine

Brian Valentine is a magistrate judge for the Bennington unit family division of the Vermont Superior Courts. He was appointed to the court by Governor Peter Shumlin. Prior to joining the court he was an attorney with the law firm of Mickenberg, Dunn, Lachs & Smith, PLC.[1]

Prior to joining the court, Valentine was an attorney with a focus on fmaily law. He worked for the law firms of Mickenberg, Dunn, Lachs & Smith, PLC; Little & Cicchetti; and Downs Rachlin Martin. Also, he served as the chair of the Collaborative Law Section of the Vermont Bar Association and as a guardian ad litem in the Chittenden Family Court. He started his career in Bellingham, Washington as an attorney with a focus on general practice.[1]
