The election in Warren featured four seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Brian White ran against challengers Kaitlyn Schwab, Timothy Schwartz and Carl B. Weckerle for the two seats with four-year terms. Two incumbents, I. Susan Kattula and Elaine G. Martin, competed with Laura Hawatmeh and Andrew Laux for the two seats with six-year terms. White, Weckerle, Kattula and Martin campaigned together as an unofficial slate.[2]
Incumbent Brian White and Kaitlyn Schwab defeated Timothy Schwartz and Carl B. Weckerle for two seats with four-year terms, while incumbents I. Susan Kattula and Elaine G. Martin defeated challengers Laura Hawatmeh and Andrew Laux for two seats with six-year terms.

Funding
White reported $8,016.00 in contributions and $4,259.71 in expenditures during the election, which left him with $3,756.29 on hand according to the Macomb County Election Department.[3]
Endorsements
White received endorsements from AFSCME Locals 1815/1346, the AFL-CIO and the local chapters of the Michigan Education Association and the UAW.[4][5][6]
