Brian Whitney was a judge on the 2nd District Court in Colorado. He was initially appointed to the office by Gov. Bill Owens (R) and took office in January 2007. Whitney was retained to a full six-year term in 2010. He won retention again in the general election on November 8, 2016. Whitney left office on October 5, 2022.

Biography

Whitney received his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University and his J.D. from the University of Denver. Immediately prior to taking the bench, Whitney was the first ever assistant attorney general for the special prosecutions unit of the Colorado Attorney General’s office. He also served as the chief environmental prosecutor for the state of Colorado.[1][2]
