|As the owner of a real estate business, I have come to learn the ins and outs of city government. I have established long-standing relationships with civic and faith leaders in my community. I have had to learn the city’s permitting processes, understand appraisal procedures, work with zoning officials, and frequently engage with lenders and banks on behalf of many D4 families. My passion to fight the good fight to help realize a more successful and progressive D4 community is why I want to serve my neighbors as the next City Counselor.
I am all too familiar with the challenges our community face, especially those made apparent by the COVID-19 pandemic. The virus has frustrated our resources, particularly our healthcare services, and shone a spotlight on the long-established disparities in income, education, and affordable housing.
JOIN US. Opportunity Starts Now!- Affordable Housing - expand the City’s affordable housing inventory including new multi-family units and expanding the first time owner program.
- Job and Workforce Development; Improve ability of Community to access City services; Public Safety including Police Reform;
- Educational Opportunities: Public investments to implement universal pre-k for all 3 and 4-year-olds and affordable, high-quality care for all infants and toddlers.
We need to make sure that the very rich educational opportunities in Boston is available to all students in the D4. Finally, I believe in a safe community and that is why my focus would be to advocate for reasonable police reform.
I will work to bring the community and police department together to facilitate a neighborhood task force to resolve the crime issue common in our community.
I also believe in a sustainable neighborhood. So, I am passionate about making sure that the City expends resources on ideas that would make our neighborhoods are environmentally viable for decades to come.
