A Bridgeport Township Law Enforcement proposal was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Saginaw County, which is in Michigan, where it was defeated.
If approved, this proposal would have authorized the Township of Bridgeport to increase property taxes by 0.765 mills ($0.765 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 4 years in order to fund law enforcement in the Township. Township officials estimated the first-year revenue from this tax would be $148,223.08.[1]
