Hawkins was defeated in her bid for election to the Logan County Court of Common Pleas's Family Court. She was defeated by incumbent Judge Dan W. Bratka in the general election on November 6, receiving 34.28 percent of the vote.[3][4]

Hawkins received her J.D. from Ohio Northern University in 1991.[5]

Career

Before becoming an attorney, Hawkins served as a deputy with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. Hawkins is an attorney in private practice in Logan County.[5]
