Who are you? Tell us about yourself in 200 words or less. I am Bridget Thorne, the strong conservative voice for Fulton County Commissioner. I am a wife, mother, and professional businesswoman. My family has called North Fulton home for 27 years. My parents taught me early about the importance of serving others and I have been an active advocate for our North Fulton community throughout the years, serving on several boards including the Alpharetta Parks Visionary Committee and VP of Communications for the Parent Teacher Student Association. I earned my M. B.A. and B.S. Industrial Design from Georgia Tech, attending on a track scholarship, and was inducted in the Georgia Tech Athletic Hall of Fame. Today, I am running in a different type of race because North Fulton is a wonderful place to live and work and raise a family, and I want to preserve all of those benefits for future generations. I believe that elected officials should serve the citizens, not special interest groups or their own political ambition. I will fight for a better future for all by utilizing my engineering background to be a watchdog protecting taxpayers monies from wasteful spending and keeping our communities safe by fully supporting law enforcement. Visit www.bridgethorne.com for more information.
I believe in smaller and more efficient government. The growing size of government and government bureaucracy strains the taxpayer. As the size of government increases, inefficiencies are created and liberties are taken away.

Government should serve the people. The taxpayer should be informed and engaged in the policy making process. Too often, government ignores the wishes of the people they serve.
