I'm a proven reformer with extensive community, small-business and non-profit experience, as well as seven years on the Travis County Commissioners Court, and three on the Austin City Council.
  • Fight climate change, the most pressing social-justice issue of our age, as the harm falls hardest on poor communities.
  • Create more affordable housing; the county is already creating more than 11,000 units, either built or underway.
  • Continue criminal-justice reform, e.g., the first Public Defender Office and the first Sobering Center as an alternative to jail; I helped pass both.
Climate change: what we can do to prepare our residents for its effects and what we can do locally to help reverse the effects of greenhouse gases on our planet.
