I Spent the past 13 years practicing law, both prosecuting & defending in the criminal law setting. I have a winning trial record and represented over 5,000 individuals. I hold a law degree from Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University and a BA in business administration from Flagler College in Saint Augustine Florida. I’m efficient, honest and capable. I firmly believe in justice and upholding our Constitutional rights.
  • Women for women! I’m proud of my gender and support other women in leadership positions, with the common goal of improving our lives and expanding opportunities for women everywhere.
  • Efficiency- as an efficient individual I believe in supporting and rewarding efficient workers and leaders that take initiative to create more efficient policies and programs for our citizens.
  • Capable- practicing law in the public sector for 13 years gave me experience relative to being a public leader and developing public policies for the greater good.
Environmental Protections & preservation of State And National Parks balanced with Economic growth via tourism.

Social and Criminal Justice Reform. Funding for both sides of the scales in Criminal prosecutions.

Increased benefits for public service workers, especially ones fighting for Constitutional compliance and civil rights daily.

Upholding Constitutional Rights for ALL citizens regardless of race, gender identification, or any other discriminatory label.

Mental Health awareness and educating the public to reduce stereotypes and stigmas associated with diagnoses. Increase availability of mental health providers and support programs.
My father, Lewis Porter, the longest standing Coroner/Deputy Coroner in Kentucky prior to his passing in 2018. He taught me to be a giver and to always spread kindness and generosity. He was a farmer, and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and contributed greatly to advances in modern surgery and medicine. He instilled in me the importance of hard work, common sense and passion. His contributions to society were typically behind the scenes avoiding notoriety, as his intentions were without ulterior motives.

My grandmother that taught me you have to be a bulldozer in this world and stand up for your values. She’s 82 and still tough as nails.

My mother who raised me to be a loving and caring human. My apologies for being such a tough critic until becoming a parent myself.

Judge Kenny Profit, the most fair and honest judge I’ve ever known. His wisdom and advice were always appreciated and given in a way that didn’t embarrass a young lawyer. He taught me to never think or act like the smartest person in the room, but to keep an open mind.

Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln.
To actively represent and fight for legislation that reflects the needs and values of your constituency. To ensure the citizens of your constituency have a voice, to listen to their voices and lobby for changes you believe would be beneficial.
Assisting the County Attorney with property tax collections. One year during high school.
The Horse Whisperer, which is honestly the only novel I’ve read from front to back. To kill a mockingbird, but I remember more of the movies than the book.
Bringing Country Back by Alan Jackson. My 5 year old son’s favorite song.
Being female in a predominantly male profession.
Technology, environmental protections and water pollution prevention, economic development, healthcare accessibility- including mental health, Social and Criminal justice reform, Agricultural development and support of new programs & incentives for farmers. Upholding our Constitutional rights.
While it may have benefits of efficiency and equity of representation, I foresee potential drawbacks with interference in checks and balances.
One reflective of equal representation by population and one that reflects representation of traditionally under-represented groups of citizens such as rural communities.
While representing over 5,000 indigent citizens in & around my District, I heard countless true stories that forever touched my heart. I have experience with a wide array of perspectives and consider myself open-minded, empathetic and well-rounded, crediting my past work history as well as personal experience.
What did the hurricane say to the coconut tree?
They should most definitely have a large input on the use of such powers, if it can be done effectively and efficiently.
