Campaign themes

2015

Kinlay issued the following statement regarding her bid for office:

If elected, what will be your top two priorities for your term of office?

B.A. “Brooklyn” Kinlay
Our top priority should be to maximize the efficient usage of existing school buildings so as to reduce the requirement for portable classrooms and the relocation of students to remote, off-site locations. Our focus should be on renovating our existing school buildings, making them more energy efficient and suitable for the needs of a rapidly-growing student population.

We all agree, the school system urgently needs more seats due to overcrowding. We should adopt an environmental policy for our schools and to take advantage of government energy incentive programs so we can renovate and modernize our existing school buildings and transition to a sustainable economic system. [7]
