A Brookville School District Levy Renewal measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in the Oakwood school district area which is in Preble and Montgomery Counties.
The measure was approved in both counties.
Montgomery County:
- YES 1,579 (68.95%)

- NO 711 (31.05%)[1]
Preble County:
- YES 12 (60.00%)

- NO 8 (40.00%)[2]
This measure seeks to renew the current school levy which is set at a rate of $.50 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current operational costs in the school district.[3]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
| A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Brookville Local School District, Counties of Preble and Montgomery, for the purpose of CURRENT OPERATING EXPENSES at a rate not exceeding 5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.50 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[4] |
