2014
Elections for the Indiana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Kreg Battles was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Bruce Borders was unopposed in the Republican primary. Battles resigned on May 16 and Bionca Gambill (D) was appointed on June 17. Gambill was defeated by Borders in the general election.[5][6][7]

2012
Borders ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 45. Borders ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and was defeated by District 64 incumbent Kreg Battles (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9]
2010
Borders won re-election to the 45th District seat against Jesse James by a margin of 11,588 to 7,866.[10] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
In the May 4th primary, Borders ran unopposed and received 3,934 votes.[11]
