Bruce Hartman is the former nonpartisan Indiana State Examiner. He served in the position from 2005 to 2013.[1][2]

Hartman has spent most of his career with the Indiana State Board of Accounts. He first began with the board as a summer intern while in college. In 1981, he became a field examiner. In 1986, he was appointed as deputy state examiner, holding the position until 1988. After returning to the field for several years, Hartman became Office Supervisor for Counties. On October 7, 2005, he was appointed as State Examiner.[3]
