Bruce MacDonald
Bruce MacDonald was a 2017 Republican candidate for District 14 of the New Jersey State Senate.
In 2016, MacDonald was a Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 4th Congressional District of New Jersey.[1] MacDonald was defeated by incumbent Chris Smith in the Republican primary.[2]
In 2011, MacDonald was a Republican candidate for District 14 of the New Jersey General Assembly.

Elections for the New Jersey State Senate took place in 2017. All 40 seats were up for election. The general election took place on November 7, 2017. A primary election took place on June 6, 2017. The filing deadline for the primary election was April 3, 2017.[4][5] Incumbent Linda Greenstein (D) defeated Ileana Schirmer (R) in the New Jersey State Senate District 14 general election.[6][7]

Incumbent Chris Smith (R) defeated Lorna Phillipson (D), Jeremy Marcus (L), and Hank Schroeder (Economic Growth) in the general election on November 8, 2016. Smith defeated Bruce MacDonald in the Republican primary on June 7, 2016. Smith won re-election in the November 8 election.[9][10][11]

MacDonald was a candidate for the 2011 Republican Party nomination for District 14 of the New Jersey General Assembly. MacDonald was defeated by David Fried and Wayne Wittman in the June 7 primary.[12][13]
