I have lived in Commerce Township since 1992, I retired from the USPS after 31 years. I'm a graduate of the University of Michigan. I'm a proud father of two daughters, who graduated from WLC. I served on the PTA and was a Band Dad.
  • I will do my best to lower the property tax burden of the residents of Commerce Township. We supposedly have one of the lowest tax rates in the area, but it could be lower.
  • We have a very good ranking in crime for our size. BUT... our neighbors are better. ???? I will ask questions and look to see how we can improve. I will ask our law enforcement to prioritize crimes with actual victims.
  • Traffic is a major headache. There is no easy or inexpensive fix to this problem. Are more roundabouts the answer? I think we need to look around for more creative answers.
I want to lower my township's tax burden. Too many people are on fixed incomes, working two jobs, or coming out of retirement to make ends meet. No one should lose their house to pay for a pickleball court, no matter how nice it looks.
I look up to my father and grandfather. I would like to follow Kerry Bentivillo because of the way he handled himself in Congress and with others.
Openness and being honest. Telling the truth even if it hurts.
I'm a hard worker. I have a low tolerance for BS especially if it affects people unfairly.
To be a good steward of the money and resources you are entrusted with.
That the tax rate is lower and the budget is balanced, The township debt is eliminated
The funeral of JFK. My mom put me in front of the tv to watch it. I was almost 4.
My first paycheck job was at a major supermarket as a cart wrangler. I held the job for one month as I was going to college soon.
Go Dog Go , it was my first book that I could read and I love reading it too my children.
"... should we tell him about the stepping stones?"
Government must be transparent and held accountable for every tax dollar it spends. These dollars are taken under duress from the residents. Don't pay your taxes and see what happens.
