Louisiana elections use the majority-vote system. All candidates compete in the same primary, and a candidate can win the election outright by receiving more than 50 percent of the vote. I want to term limit the Lt Governor; term limits are good; they prevent tenure in Politics! Let's not re-elect the Incumbent and have another fiasco like our Insurance Commission; after 16 years under one regime, that office is in shambles! Louisiana will elect a new Governor, Sec of State, and Insurance Commissioner; let's sweep the State clean and start fresh in 2024 by electing a new Lt. Governor. Change is good and it's time for change! I have a detailed plan: run an aggressive campaign and win the office, convince the State Legislature to term limit the office, if our new Governor signs it, it's law...if he veto's it, the Legislature uses it's super-majority to override the Governor (as they did earlier this year). Lastly,I'm term limiting myself by not seeking re-election! This forces my Successor to serve two different Governors...promoting cooperation and collaboration at the highest level of state government. It's a unique plan I admit, but it makes sense if you think about it.
  • It's time to sweep our state government clean; let's go in a new direction Louisiana! We can and will do better.
  • Term limits are good for Louisiana; change is good for Louisiana; that's why the Governor's term limited.
  • The Lt. Governor is the Marketing Dept. of our State; hire a Salesman to sell our State, not a career Politician.
I'm passionate about our state! You can hear the energy in my voice; you can see the emotion in my face, and you can feel the power of my message! As a businessman, I have the skill-set to be your Lt. Governor. But I'm not so arrogant to say I have all the answers; my Mother told me, "there's wisdom in a multitude of counsels" and I'm open to all suggestions for improvement in our tattered State Parks and run-down museums. Personally, I think a public-private partnership makes sense; that saved our Jazzfest years ago and it's flourished ever since! Sponsorships of our State Parks can save them; they're millions in debt and disrepair.

I believe-in our Legislative Auditor; he & his staff are doing a good job keeping an eye on Louisiana Politicians and the assets they control. He published 92 pages of scathing reports this year regarding the Office of Lt. Governor. I don't expect you to read all of that;I certainly didn't. But I did read his 7 pages of Summary Reports. Wow. Ouch. You should do your due diligence before you vote and read those Summary Reports yourself before you vote.

Don't let the title fool you; the Lt. Governor is nothing more than Marketing Department of our state. It's a sales position! You wouldn't hire a Politician to sell your home! You'd hire a Realtor; that's the right person for the job.

So don't hire a politician to sell your state; hire a salesman. Hire the Salesman turned Statesman. #21 Bruce
The Lt. Governor is Louisiana's top salesman; he's the face and voice of our state.

The Governor is too busy every day to do this function; that's why you need a camera
friendly, passionate, Lt Governor...and preferably a man of the people-not a career

politician. The Lt.Governor should be "one of us"; he should be the common man. I am.
I've always liked JFK; he gets a bad rap for his indiscretions, but he was still the right man at the right time for our Country. I have a picture of him on the wall in my office with his famous quote that reads: "one person can make a difference and every person should try!" I love that; that's why I'm running for Lt Governor; I can make a difference.
I'm a Gemini; that allows me to look at issues from two different perspectives.

There's nothing that explains who I am and how I'll be as a politician.

This is my first and ONLY run for office; maybe I'll write a book next?!
I'm not a Politician; that's good for Louisiana. I'm not running for re-election in four years! That too, is good for Louisiana. I'm not a Republican or a Democrat; I'm an Independent. I owe nothing to any party or organization. I'm not an extremest; I'm a centrist; I'm to the right of center on the political scale, which is in-line with the majority of Louisiana.

Here are two of my sound bites describing my philosophy on politics in Louisiana in 2023:

"Republicans and Democrats aren't that different; one's an ointment, the other's a suppository."

"Party affiliation is like stepping in dog poop; you can wash it off, but the stink follows ya'."
Honesty; Billy Joel said that's hardly ever heard, but mostly what you need from me!
You have to be sincere; you can't fake that.

You have to be passionate; people can feel that.

You have to be transparent; just tell people the facts.
I made our state a better place; I was a friend to every dog I ever met and a select few people too.
My Father worked for NASA when I was a boy; he was the Public Relations Guy. I remember watching the Apollo
11 flight on TV and thinking "my daddy's there watching that happen in person!" That was July 1969 and I was five.
I was public school educated here in Louisiana for K-8; so my math skills were a little fuzzy! I got a job cutting grass to put myself through Parochial High School; the cost too great with just one job, so I also worked at the local grocery, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, and painted houses on weekends. Upon graduation from high school, I stopped working my plethora of jobs to become a commercial painter which paid my way through college at Nicholls State.
Color by numbers! Just kidding; see, that's my personality.
You never know what you're gonna' get outta' my mouth.
Robert Plant's "29 Palms". It's an oldie but goodie; that guy still has pipes!

I saw him at Jazzfest years ago; he could probably still belt out Led Zeppelin hits all night.
Try as I might, I can't sing as good as Freddy Mercury.
It doesn't stop me from trying, but I'm not getting any better.
Humility, dedication, sincerity, and a sense of humor!

Sadly, our state has hit rock bottom! We're on the top of the naughty list and the bottom of the nice list.
Don't be surprised if Santa Claus passes us by this year without stopping. Under the incumbent, our

state motto's become: 'Louisiana, just passin' thru'.
Well, the Office of State Museums gets use of the lower Pentalba Apartment

for Official Museum business; but it's highly regulated by our state constitution.
The City of New Orleans just stopped their Mayor from using that building's
upper apartment unconstitutionally as her own boudoir. And in the process,
stopped the Office of Lt. Governor from also using it for private usage by the

Incumbent. It's all in the Legislative Auditor's report summaries from this year.
Absolutely not. In fact, that's a negative! You don't want a Lt. Governor tainted by years of Political dysfunction.

You want a businessman to run the State Parks and Museums as Business'. They have to stand on their own.
You need fresh ideas in this position, not the same unsuccessful stuff that hasn't worked for the last seven years.

Look, a million people moved to our neighboring states (Texas and Florida) in the last couple of years; the Incumbent was unsuccessful in attracting them here; I call THAT failure. He also let 36,000 of our college educated children move away on the 'brain drain train.' That horrible; losing our kids does more than rob us of our legacy; it robs us of our heritage and our culture. That's irreplaceable....and unacceptable.
You have to have business acumen to operate the State Parks and Museums; I have that; I've owned a number of successful businesses. You have to be a salesman...and not just any salesman! You have to be good. I'm good; I

was classically trained by Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, Dale Carnegie, Omar Periu, and Gayle Kasper. You also have to be an exceptional pubic speaker; I am. I can be amusing, entertaining, charismatic, and motivational. Lastly,

you have to be flexible to listen to others input and trusting enough to allow them to do their jobs. That's leading.
Oh god; I used to be a foul mouthed comedian in the 1990's.

I traveled regionally and did current event jokes; I shouldn't
tell any of my own jokes because they may offend someone.

Edwin Edwards had a great joke he told before his death;
I have that on my phone and listen to it annually. You can

probably find it online on Google.
