Bruce Petit

Bruce Petit is a judge of the Boone County Superior Court in Indiana. He was elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that expired on December 31, 2020.[1]
Education
Petit received a B.S. in agricultural economics from Purdue University in 1979, and a J.D. from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1982.[2]
Career
Before becoming a judge, Petit had run a private practice since graduating from law school. He was also a deputy prosecutor in Boone County, where he was in charge of all juvenile cases. Petit was chief deputy prosecutor from 1989 until 2005 when the position became full-time due to an increase of cases.[2]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 52.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Jim Holden.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.
