A special election for the position of Georgia House of Representatives District 175 was held on February 13, 2018. The filing deadline for candidates running in this election was January 12, 2018.[1]
The seat became vacant on December 31, 2017, after Amy Carter (R) resigned to become executive director of advancement for the Technical College System of Georgia.[2]
John LaHood (R) defeated Treva Gear (D), Bruce Phelps (R), and Coy Reaves (R) in the special election.[3]
