Bruce Stanger was a candidate for District B representative on the Montgomery County School Board in Virginia. He was defeated in the general election on November 3, 2015.[1]

Opposition

The Montgomery County School Board is a seven-member board elected by district to staggered four-year terms. The seats of District B incumbent Penny Franklin, District E incumbent Marti Graham, District F incumbent Joseph Ivers Jr. and District G incumbent Sarah Woolsey were up for election on November 3, 2015.[2]

Franklin defeated one challenger, Bruce Stanger, to win re-election. Fellow board member Graham, who was appointed to the board after former District E incumbent Wendell Jones resigned, similarly defeated a single opponent, Brandon Roop, in her first election. Newcomers Connie Froggatt and Barbara Skinner ran for the District F seat, while Mark Cherbaka and Jason Massie competed for the District G seat. Froggatt and Cherbaka won their respective races.
