Berry ran for election to the 39th Judicial Circuit Court.
Primary: He was defeated in the Republican primary on August 5, 2014, receiving 25.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Robert George, Shara Martin and Stacy Tomlin.

Education
Berry earned his undergraduate degree in religious studies at William Jewell College in 1991. He previously studied for a year at Oxford University. Before earning his J.D. in 2002 at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Berry received a master of divinity degree from the Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.[3]
