  • Kettering's challenges are also our opportunities to shape the way our city grows and evolves over the next decade. We have big decisions to make about our budget and expenses, development and redevelopment as well as how we attract and retain businesses in our city.
  • Our campaign is grassroots and has taken shape in the neighborhoods talking porch to porch. Our city has done a great job of soliciting resident and business feedback for our strategic plan and comprehensive plan, it's imperative that residents are able to keep their voice as decisions are made in the future.
  • Politics as usual isn't the answer and the leadership in Columbus Ohio and Washington DC aren't going to come to our rescue, tough conversations, creative solutions and working collaboratively is how we chart a path for Kettering's future.
Property maintenance, the tax burden, our aging housing stock and development of unused and underused properties are the top of my list.
Our current Mayor, Peggy Lehner, has endorsed our campaign. So has the local chapter of AFSCME.
