Bryan R. Hedges was a judge for the Onondaga County Family Court in New York. He served in this position from 1985 to April 25, 2012.[1] Hedges surprisingly retired from the court, giving no reason for his departure.[2]

Education

Hedges received his undergraduate and law degrees from Syracuse University in 1968 and 1972, respectively.[1]

Career

Hedges began his career in 1973 as a law clerk to Justice Frank Delverchio of the Appellate Division, 4th Department. He served in that capacity through 1975. From 1976 to 1979, he served in the Onondaga County District Attorney's office as a Senior Assistant D.A., an Assistant D.A. and a Senior Deputy County attorney. He then became the 1st Deputy Onondaga County Attorney. He left that position in 1981 to work as the principal law clerk to Justice Thomas Alo until 1984. His judicial career began in 1985, when he joined the Family Court.[1]
