Bud Turner

Education
Turner received his undergraduate degree from Samford University and his Master of Religious Education and Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His J.D. was earned at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Turner served as an attorney in Anniston and a defense lawyer for indigent clients. Before he was elected to the circuit court in 2012, Turner was a judge on the Piedmont Municipal Court.[1]

2012 election
Turner was elected to the Circuit 7 Court in 2012. He defeated Ray Bryan in the Republican primary, winning 55.77% of the vote. He defeated Foster Marshall in the general election on November 6, winning 66.38% of the vote.[2][3][4]
