Buddy Garcia
Buddy Garcia is a former Republican Commissioner of the Texas Railroad Commission, a regulatory body that oversees the oil and natural gas industries in Texas. Garcia was appointed in April 2012 to fill the vacancy left by Elizabeth Ames Jones (R), who resigned to run for Texas State Senate. Garcia was only appointed to serve until the general election on November 6, 2012.[1] Garcia did not run for a full term in 2012, and Christi Craddick (R) won the seat in the general election.

Garcia did not run for re-election to the Texas Railroad Commission in 2012. The seat was taken over by Christi Craddick (R) on November 7, 2012, the day after she won the general election.[2]
