Burke Day
Burke Day (b. April 12, 1954) is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 163 from 2007 to 2011. He did not seek re-election in 2010.
He was Police Commissioner of Tybee Island from 1992 to 1994 and on the City Council from 1991 to 1994.
Biography
Day's professional experience includes working as a professional writer, author, self-employed investor and Assistant Chairman of the Board for Days Inn of America from 1970 to 1984.
He is a member of the Optimists Club and the Jimmy Carter President Library/Center Board of Councilors.[1]

In 2008, Day was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 163. Day (R) ran unopposed and finished with 21,693 votes.[2] Day raised $6,650 for his campaign fund.[3]
